I wanna know what other people think of this?

I am a baby christian right now. I am reading about 4 chapters a day in the new living translation and I have so many questions. Lots of good things have been happening to me lately, could this be because of this one scripture I read? : 3 john 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. Also I have noticed there have been a lot of earth quakes could this be because of Mathew 24:7 the nations and kingdoms will proclaim war against each other and there will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. This was when Jesus was talking about things that will happen in the end times. And heres a little side note, If your going to make fun of me for being a christian or mock me maybe you should look at other questions to answer. Please dont answer mine!
