How surprising is this statistic? (NHL)?

Pssh I don't even know what to say about that. It's not a stat I put much stock in. It doesn't factor in bad calls, nor just plain stupid plays by the penalized. If anything, I'd attribute this perhaps to their speed, which is the best way to draw hooks, but I'd say it's coincidence more than anything, because like I said, drawing penalties is not something that holds much water statistically in my opinion.
