Does the Islamic view on Genesis make more sense than the Christian one?

God forgave Adam and Eve in both versions. Its just the Islamic version, likes to believe anything you do is fine. Christianity knows there is a price to pay for disobedience and that's what happened. Adam and Eve repented and lived a Godly life but made their mistakes.
